I went to KLCC on both Saturday and Sunday. How dedicated of me! On the first day I went to the Fair with Syash, Hazu, Atiq, Haikal (or is it Haiqal?), Rifdy and some guy whose name I forgot. Very sorry. On the second day, went with Panna and Nanas. It was Panna’s third time on Malaysian public transport. Please tell her it’s all right to be like that. All I did was look at, um, design courses again. The Saito College guy is interesting, according to Nanas, so might go to their open day just to see someone fold a box. That is, demonstrate a bit of packaging design from start to finish. And a bit of Psychology, which the fine English lady said, “is vairay sexay.” I wonder what kind of sexy she meant but I will agree anyway. Met up with the same people from IACT again which is a bit sickening since I will see them on Tuesday and Wednesday. Nanas was terrorising all the college people and saying things like, “Lim Kok Wing is more expensive, is it better than you guys?” She definitely brings out the worst in people.
Nanas: So your college is best known for architecture?
Guy: Not to boast but yeah. Heheheheh.
Envy and Nanas: …
As big brother had said, the Edu Fair does not help much. So me and my faithful minions (Panna and Nanas) may go crash some college and find a worthy advisor to advise us on what to do in life. I wish I knew. Kidchan was drawing a CG on Photoshop and they hooked it up to a huge ass plasma screen. For the entire day you had a mini crowd at The One Academy, hypnotised by Kidchan drawing. Some were gaping like idiots.
Fanna’s boyfriend can be a bit dumb at times. As a result of that I have another phone stalker. The thing about such people is, they do not know that you can always add your name at the end of the bloody text message. Isn’t that common sense? Anyway, this gives me a reason to demand a higher “tax” from Ridz. I doubt he reads my blog – who does but you lot anyway. Had nice wonderful philosophical life chat with Fanna when we met up. Very fun but not enlightening. Talking to her is like walking in extremely small circles. I really missed her bimbo hair and mega slang and all. She seems to get really actionista dreams, like National Treasure but starring her and (insert Friend’s name here). My dreams are batty rather than action-packed (and gay).
Had the most vilely agonising period, prolly one of the worse in my life. I was reduced to a curled slug on the bed for two hours, weeping about how I wished I was a boy. For a day or two. Moma did say if I was a boy, I would have to shave every few hours. Imagine lying down for a bit and finding you have a beard soon after. At that point, I doubt I would have cared how ugly or stupid I was as long as there was no pain. She also said that great women suffer terrible periods. What about great men then? Even the likes of Johnny who is so fab? Sheesh. Am currently a sexist pig. But I still like Johnny Depp.
Speaking of Johnny Depp, any book with him on the cover is shitty expensive. His biography was sixty bucks; although he looked good the design was plain so I didn’t go running off to the counter to buy it. There was also some girly Japanese magazine with him on it. That was somewhere around a hundred. I mean, I understand. This should motivate me to work hard, get rich and shop for expensive books. And clothes. Which fills up nearly all of KLCC – so me and Panna could not resist but escape into Topshop for a brief moment before going home. The gold jeans which I like are discounted but not cheap still and prolly did not have my size but the silver shoes which I also like were still there but I was not sure whether it was made of piggy or not. Pigs must be really cushy or something. All the posh shops stock pig shoes. Swine shoes.
I hate the holidays. They are so unproductive. Having escaped school, now I am merely a slob. Like a Malaysian Homer Simpson without the obesity. I got up today, moped about and had cereal. Then was forced to go out with Fa because face it, otherwise I would not have good lunch. I bought five Gempakstarz comics, four of which are girly. Bought fat magazines to cut from but they were so pretty and glossy I might keep them intact for a while. Besides, one of the pages I wanted to cut a lady from had a beautiful man on the other side. I wish magazines were printed on one side of the paper. Then I could cut up everything I wanted. Read Ternion and Foolish Fruits by accident because they weren’t too bad. Also did a bit of website maintainence but not on mine. Then I wrapped a few novels and my Biology dictionary. Cutting up magazines and wrapping books is like therapy for me. For some reason they always make me feel better.
My belly is crummy and I have to be in Damansara by eight in the morning tomorrow, so off I go to Blanketsville.

Hey there, I’m not sure u know me or not but I’m a yr older than you from SU. Anyway, that’s not the main point. Was blog-hopping and found ur blog. Interesting~
Judging from this post, one can tell that u were kinda shopping for colleges and stuff, right? What are u planning to do? You were in the graphics dept for Gemala right? If you wanna do anything that involves design, I can tell u that The One Academy’s the best place to do it. I’m not a student there, my bf is but his work has greatly improved since he joined last year. I’m not so sure abt the fees but I think it’s about RM40k++ for a diploma but it’s really worth the money coz you learn a LOT!
Might wanna check the place out. I think you’ve got really good potential in working with graphic design and stuff. =D

Ok I’m nablur’s boyfriend, she was about to type a reply to you but she insisted I continue because according to her, I’m blabbing on and on and on about TOA.
Ok let me tell you about going to The One. I was really worried about going to The One because I thought my artistic skills weren’t that good. But seriously after just 2 terms I have improved so much I can’t believe it. I know your parents will tell you to do those “safe” careers like dentistry etc. but my dad was like that too. Bring your parents to TOA and show them what’s it’s really about. Ask the people there about career and how much cash you can earn and the councellors there will change your parents mind completely.
The job opportunities are amazing once you find out about the industry. You have the talent and if you have the interest become a designer. Seriously, become what you want to become not what your parents want you to become. The future is a different world and things will work differently from our parents time. A lot of people in my class had to fight to be in TOA and they have never regretted their decision. TOA is a fun college and all the lecturers rock. I have not had a bad lecturer in my year there and many lecturers are industry lecturers which means they really have the experience and knowledge to teach.
Since I joined ToA I can’t imagine me in any other college. So don’t let your parents pick what you want to study, it’s your choice, so if you want to be a dentist that’s good, but if you wanna be a designer and you are really interested in becoming a designer, insist that you go to TOA, there is no better choice, seriously!
